Amazon’s Halo health tracker is accessible to everybody right this moment

Amazon’s health and fitness tracker is now available to buy by anyone.
The Halo band is priced at $ 99.99, provides access to the Halo app, and comes with a six-month subscription to companion health services. Amazon launched the device in August, but it was only available to consumers by invitation.
The device competes with Apple Watch and devices from Fitbit. Amazon designed the Halo to provide a comprehensive view of users’ personal health and wellbeing by incorporating features that measure body fat percentage, activity, sleep and a tool that users can use according to the tone their voice to sound to others.
Early reviews weren’t cheap. The Washington Post, for example, recently said that “the halo gathers the most intimate information we’ve seen from a consumer health gadget – and makes the absolute minimum of it.”
Amazon announced that it has made improvements to Halo based on feedback from users who are invited only. Below that is a new feature called Insights, which shows user trends or patterns based on their activity and sleep, as well as their tone of voice, such as: B. “Peak periods of positivity and energy”.
It also introduces on-demand workouts from a number of popular fitness brands such as Orangetheory Fitness, Aaptiv and Openfit.
The Halo marks Amazon’s first foray into the fitness wearables market. The hardware business has traditionally been focused on home devices like the Echo smart speakers and Fire TV streaming video devices.
It was widely expected that Amazon would prepare to enter the wearables market for many years to come. Wearables provide another entry point for the company to learn more about customers outside of the Amazon website.
