Dior opens a pop-up store overlooking the Mediterranean

Design studio in Rome Thirty-one has introduced a new one Dior Pop-up shop in Capri, Italy. By reinterpreting the traditional local ceramics and enriching them with an exotic and warm bamboo fabric, the space offers a comprehensive retail experience for the resort.

The French brand Presence gently penetrates the room, designed by Thirty-onein constant dialogue with the island’s “genius loci”, whose typical vegetation will become a key feature of the project. The pottery, broken and reassembled, was actually developed as custom project that connects the french textile tradition of the “toile de jouy” with the local artisan.

The temporary Dior boutique is at Il Riccio Restaurant & Beach Club, Part of Capri Palace Jumeirah. With a view of the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean, that offers Pop-up store is presented as a unique backdrop on a balcony on the rocks and can be reached by sea thanks to a special boat service.

The centerpiece of the project is the small cave on the rock wall that has been turned into a bazaar. In the meantime, beach cabins have been designed with the Bayadère stripes and the Toile de Jouy motif, both characteristic elements of the Resort Collection of French brandare placed throughout the building.

All materials and textures are in fact a careful selection of the local craft heritage that integrates iconic elements of Dior as a brand. The natural bamboo surfaces, enriched with brass details, alternate with neutral lime and cannage backgrounds that enhance the strong colors of the Dior collection. The result is a retail space that offers a wide range of options Dior Experience.
