Museum of Art and Design (MAD)

The Cooper Hewitt is located on the Upper East Side (Manhattan) and is one of 19 museums under the wing of the Smithsonian Institution. The museum is located in the Andrew Carnegie Mansion, a Georgian-style house that now houses exhibits depicting the history and culture of design and decorative art. Another fun fact: The Cooper Hewitt hosts the National Design Awards. Make sure to visit once you are in New York City!

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

Who hasn’t heard from the Guggenheim? The legendary museum is the permanent home of an ever-growing collection of Impressionists, Post-Impressionists, and Early Modern Periods Contemporary Arts. In addition to these exhibitions, the Guggenheim offers special exhibitions throughout the year. The building itself, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is a 20th century landmark architecture. The Center for Architecture is located in Greenwich Village and was designed by Andrew Berman. It is an amazing place that people often live in Design exhibitions. The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The MET)

In the heart of SoHo, this space is really amazing. It hosts an enormous variety of events such as lectures, conferences, and film screenings, as well as art, design, and architecture Exhibitions. What they all have in common is the desire to show the world what is being done in these areas and how the industries are developing. Another great fact: the building designed by Steven Holl and artist Vito Acconci has movable and adjustable panels that open the gallery in different ways.
