Lakers vs. Clippers stay rating, updates, highlights from the 2020-21 NBA season opener

You didn’t even have to look at the NBA’s opening schedule to know what time the game would be. There was no way the league would miss the chance for the Lakers and Clippers to compete in Los Angeles.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the new Lakers begin their quest for consecutive titles on Tuesday. After exiting the NBA “bubble” with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, the Lakers rebuilt their roster and signed both James and Davis for new deals, enabling them to remain a competitor for years to come be. Not surprisingly, they start the season as championship favorites.

The Clippers remain a threat, however. The image of the Clippers taking off from the ground after a 3-1 lead over the Nuggets in the 2020 NBA playoffs may continue for a long time for many fans, but coach Tyronn Lue, who replaced Doc Rivers in the past off-season, knows that he has a talented group capable of making a deep postseason.
