Manchester’s latest and most unique restaurant and bar, Rendition, opens its doorways

Rendition, a new luxury restaurant and bar that will revolutionize the Manchester food and drink scene, opens its doors today.

Located on Deansgate (the former Tapeo and Wine unit), the Rendition serves local and inspired dishes that advocate British produce, as well as a lively bar that offers the highest levels of quality, aesthetics and service. With a first-class dinner menu and lunch specials, the exclusive restaurant aims to set a new benchmark for excellence in Manchester.

Inspired by the desire to celebrate local ingredients as well as the practical need to source British produce, the Rendition dishes are based on ingredients. The menu is cultured with only the finest fresh, locally sourced ingredients to amaze Manchester’s food community. Highlights of the modern British menu include local oysters served with shallots, vinegar, tabasco and lemon, as well as North Yorkshire potato croquettes and tomato jam, both intended for the communal table.

As a main course, Rendition offers dishes such as chalk stream trout served with samphire and asparagus in parsley root puree, rose veal fillet presented with smoked carrots and ox tongue in marrow sauce and grilled leg of lamb, accompanied by peas, broad beans, lamb bacon and bacon potatoes.

As a seasonally inspired restaurant, the Rendition’s menu will change according to the local produce available, which means that all features of the menu, apart from the Rendition classics, change regularly. Rendition’s beverage offering will, in line with the excellent menu, offer customers a plethora of unique, exciting and sophisticated beverage options to enjoy in the bar.

The cocktail menu includes the Tea Party – four spirits, lychee, apple, coconut, lemon, “cooked” with CO2 and served in a tea cup; the Illegal Margarita – a smoky version of the classic with illegal joven mezcal, mandarin napoleon, lemon and agave; and the Late Breakfast – Tanqueray Gin, Campari, Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, coffee and elderflower with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water. The range of cocktails is accompanied by an extensive gin, champagne, wine, beer and spirits menu.

The Rendition kitchen is headed by Chef Arthur Potts-Dawson. Arthur has worked in the hospitality industry for 35 years alongside chefs such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver and is now the global head chef for the World Food Program. Commenting on the Rendition vision, Arthur said: “With Rendition we are opening an up-and-coming restaurant like Manchester has never seen it before. Our seasonal ingredients from the region form the backbone of a menu that has been created to impeccably high standards. ”

Arthur’s vision for Rendition will be implemented by Stuart Valentine, the Rendition Executive Chef who will lead a team of nine world-class chefs. Arthur added, “Stuart’s expertise as one of Manchester’s most experienced and talented chefs is a huge asset to the Rendition team.”

Marc Fink has been appointed General Manager of Rendition. His wealth of experience in managing exclusive venues and managing food & beverage for one of the world’s leading lifestyle hotel brands, citizenM, has prepared him well to lead Rendition and deliver the highest standards of quality and service.

The rendition should be open to the public on June 3rd.
