Suspicious package deal discovered secure on Google’s Mountain View campus

According to Mountain View Police, a suspicious package reported to Google’s headquarters on Friday morning was deemed safe and the scene was cleared shortly before noon.

The officers responded to reports of the suspicious package at around 9:30 a.m. at a Google building on Casey Avenue’s 2000 block, police said. The Santa Clara County Bombing Squad was called to the scene.

A preliminary investigation showed that the package was not dangerous, although the investigation continued until the bombing squad cleared the package, police said.

The building was evacuated out of caution, the police said
