Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell is out Sport 1 in opposition to the Memphis Grizzlies with an ankle damage

Utah Jazz All-Star Guardian Donovan Mitchell won’t play the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference on Sunday night.

Mitchell has been working towards his return from a sprained right ankle. He was sidelined for five weeks after injuring himself against the Indiana Pacers on April 16.

Prior to his injury, Mitchell averaged a career high of 26.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 53 regular season games. The two-time all-star averaged 36.3 points while shooting nearly 53% in last season’s playoffs.

The top-studded Utah won all three games this season against Memphis No. 8 with an average of 118 points. Mitchell averaged 35 points in 60% of the shots in these games.
