The next big player in the streaming wars now has a name: Warner Bros. Discovery.

“We love the name of the new company because it combines Warner Bros. ‘a fabulous hundred year legacy of creative, authentic storytelling and taking bold risks to bring the most amazing stories to life with the global brand of Discovery which has always stood for integrity, innovation and inspiration, “Zaslav told the staff at the studio premises in Burbank. California, according to the press release.

The company’s slogan will be “The stuff dreams are made of,” based on the 1941 Warner Bros. film “The Maltese Falcon”.

The new media company would be the result of a proposed $ 43 billion merger between Discovery and WarnerMedia that AT&T would spin off just three years after buying Time Warner (as it was then called) after a lengthy battle with the Justice Department.
